The Multitap bot is one bot, run by Multitap, that joins your venue's Discord server. Connect it once, choose a channel, and it posts the moment something happens on your rigs: a personal best, a top-ten entry, a record, a streak, a rivalry, a new car in the library. Your members get slash commands to pull up boards and stats without leaving Discord, and league drivers can enter championships from there.
Connecting
- Press Connect Discord.
The Discord Connection panel starts as Not connected with a Connect Discord button. It sends you to Discord's own authorisation page, where you pick a server you manage and approve the bot. It asks only to view channels, send messages and embed links.
- Choose a channel.
Back in the admin panel the status reads Connected — choose a channel. Pick a text channel from the list and press Save. Everything the bot posts for your venue goes to this one channel. Leagues can override it per championship.
- Done.
The panel turns green, shows the connected server and channel, and reports Bot online. Change Channel and Disconnect live here from now on.
If the bot is removed from your server, the connection clears itself and posts stop until you reconnect.
What it announces
Seven checkboxes under Notification Types, all on by default. Every post is an embed tagged with the game and signed with your venue name.
| Type | Fires when |
|---|---|
| Personal Bests | A driver beats their own best on a class and track. Shows the new time, the old one, and the improvement. |
| Top 10 Changes | A driver enters the top ten on a board, or climbs within it. |
| New Records | First place changes hands. Shows the new time, the previous record and holder, and the margin. |
| New Content | A car or track appears in your library, checked every five minutes. |
| Streak Milestones | A driver hits a run of consecutive personal bests, at the counts you list. |
| Rivalries & Hot Seat | Hot seat when a record is beaten within your chosen window of being set. Rivalry when two drivers have swapped first place at least twice in a week. |
| Welcome (First Lap) | A driver completes their first ever lap at the venue. |
Only valid laps trigger the competitive posts, and cars without a class never do, so classify your library on the Cars & Tracks page. Traffic sessions post their own high scores and personal bests. League events post as described in the Leagues chapter.
Cooldowns and hype settings
To stop a busy Saturday flooding the channel: PB Cooldown (5 minutes per driver per track), Top 10 Cooldown (10 minutes), Record Cooldown (1 minute), Hot Seat Window (how recent a record must be to count as a hot seat, an hour by default), and the Streak Milestones list (3, 5, 10, 25, 50 by default). A Discord invite link field sets the invite shown on your public league pages. Save Notification Settings stores all of it.
Slash commands
Members of a connected server can type these in any channel. Game choices are Assetto Corsa, ACC and iRacing; track and car fields autocomplete from your library.
