Bookings give your customers a page where they pick a session length, a date, a start time and how many simulators they want, and reserve them. You set the opening hours, the session lengths and the prices. Multitap works out what is free, holds the rigs, emails the customer a confirmation and a reminder, and shows the day on a schedule grid for your staff. Prices are shown to the customer; they pay at the venue.
Before you start: make rigs bookable
A booking holds simulators, so Multitap needs to know which of your rigs are on offer. Open Settings › Saved Sims. Each rig has a Bookable checkbox and a small type box. Tick Bookable for every rig customers may reserve. The type is optional: give motion rigs the type motion and static ones static, and customers can filter by it while pricing can charge for it. Both save the moment you change them.
Only bookable rigs appear on the schedule, in availability, and in the customer's filter. If you open the Bookings page before ticking any, the schedule tells you exactly this and points you to Settings.
Settings
The Bookings page has two sub-tabs, Schedule and Settings. Start with Settings. Nothing here is saved until you press Save settings at the bottom.

Open hours
One row per weekday with an opening and a closing time. Leave a day blank to mark it closed. Start times are offered from opening time, every slot increment, as long as the session ends by closing time. A single opening and closing pair per day; overnight hours are not supported.
Pricing
Prices are displayed on the booking page and in the confirmation email, and are payable at the venue. Currency is a code such as USD, GBP or EUR. Per-duration price lists a price per rig for each session length, and Type surcharge adds a flat amount per rig of a given type. Both are entered as small lists in braces, for example {"60": 35, "90": 50} and {"motion": 5}. The price stored with a booking is the per-duration price plus any surcharge, summed across the rigs it holds.
Terms
Terms text is shown beside the checkbox the customer must tick. Leave it blank and the checkbox simply reads I agree to the terms.
Share
Public booking link is the address to give customers, in the form your-venue.mlttp.com/book. Embed snippet is a ready-made iframe tag; paste it into any page on your own website and the booking page appears inside it, in your colours.
Schedule
The Schedule tab is a floor grid for one day: a row per bookable rig, and along each row the bookings and maintenance blocks in time order. The toolbar has ‹ and › to step a day at a time, a date picker, Today, + New booking and Block.
A booking chip reads 14:00–15:00 · Jordan Lee with a coloured edge: the venue accent for a confirmed booking, green for completed, red and faded for a no-show. Cancelled bookings drop off the grid. A block chip shows a wrench and its times; hover it to see the reason.
Opening a booking
Click a booking chip. A panel shows the customer's name, When (date, times and rig count), Contact (email and phone) and Status with the source: public for the customer's own booking, admin for one your staff made, api for one from your website integration.

Bookings are not edited in place. To move one, cancel it and create it again at the new time.
Walk-ins and phone bookings
+ New booking opens a short form: date, start time, duration, party size, name, email, phone and a private notes field. The same rules apply as for customers: the date must be within the booking window, the start must be on the slot grid inside opening hours, and enough rigs must be free. Rigs are assigned automatically. Press Create booking and the grid jumps to that day. Staff-made bookings do not send the confirmation email, but the customer still gets the reminder if they gave an email address.
Maintenance blocks
Block takes a rig out of availability for part of a day: choose the rig, the date, a start and end time, and a reason. Blocks are for a broken pedal set or a private hire; for a whole closed day use Closed dates in Settings. To remove a block, click its chip and confirm. Creating a block does not cancel bookings already in that window, so check the row first.
What the customer sees
The booking page at your-venue.mlttp.com/book is a single column that works on a phone. It carries your venue name and accent colour, and walks through five short steps.
- Session length.
One button per duration you configured.
- How many rigs?
A number from 1 to your maximum party size. A filter by rig type checkbox reveals a list of your rig types if you set any.
- Date.
A date picker. Dates outside the booking window, closed dates and closed weekdays show no times.
- Start time.
Every start that has enough free rigs for the whole session. Times are shown in 24-hour form. If nothing fits, the page says No times available.
- Your details.
Name, email, an optional phone number, an estimated price, and the terms checkbox. Confirm booking stays disabled until a time is chosen, the name and email are filled and the box is ticked.
On success the page reads You're booked! with the date, time and rig count, and a view / cancel link. The link opens a private manage page where the customer can see the booking and, while it is still confirmed, cancel it with one button. There is no cut-off on cancellation. If someone else took the last rig a moment earlier, the customer sees Not enough free rigs for that time and can pick another.
The price on the page is an estimate from the per-duration price and shows a plus sign because type surcharges are added at booking time. The exact total appears in the confirmation email, marked payable at the venue.
Emails
Booking emails use your venue's normal email setup from the Email page, so the email system must be switched on. They carry your logo and colours and no unsubscribe link, because they are transactional.

Marking a booking completed, no-show or cancelled does not email the customer.
Your own website
The iframe from the Share section is the simplest route and needs no technical work. If you would rather build the booking flow into your own site's design, the venue API includes booking endpoints for reading availability, creating a booking and cancelling it. See the API chapter.
