COMPARE / SIM RACING VENUE SOFTWARE

Ten platforms, one timing sheet.

We make Multitap, so read this with that in mind. To keep it fair, every fact about another platform comes from that company's own website as we read it on October 18, 2026, and each one is listed in the sources at the bottom. Where a site doesn't say, we write "Not published" instead of guessing.

THE SHORT VERSION

Which one fits your venue?

These platforms are not all trying to do the same job. The biggest split is whether you want one system that also runs your front desk, or software that runs your sims and your drivers next to the booking and payment tools you already have.

Your front desk already works

You want the sims, leaderboards and driver marketing to run themselves

Multitap runs alongside the booking and point-of-sale tools you already use. It launches every session, keeps local and global leaderboards, emails drivers when their times are beaten, posts to your Discord and drives your TV screens, all from $35 a sim or $325 a month flat for 10 or more.

Multitap

One system for everything

You want booking, payments, waivers and the sims in one place

ShiftOS and VenueChief both take payments through Stripe, sell memberships, handle digital waivers and run self-service kiosks, and both publish their prices. VenueChief also runs karting and other venue types. SimPull lets guests book, pay and sign the waiver on their own phone, and Omnisim adds booking and payments on its Pro and Ultimate plans for a 2 to 3% cut of each payment. Both run on Assetto Corsa.

ShiftOS, VenueChief, SimPull or Omnisim

Assetto Corsa on a budget

You run Assetto Corsa and want the lowest sim-control price

Simcenter Control from Assetto Hosting starts from 10€ per simulator a month, with Assetto Corsa control, mod sync and leaderboards on the SimCenter.gg network.

Simcenter Control

Many titles, offline, long track record

You need wide sim title automation or an offline mode

VMS from Sim Racing Limited fully automates Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate and rFactor 2, gathers data from six more titles, offers an offline mode, and has been around since 2002. In Europe, Sim-Department and LoungeControl also offer offline operation.

WHAT IT COSTS

Monthly price by venue size

Worked out from each vendor's published pricing, before tax. Only four platforms publish enough to calculate a full monthly total, and they don't include the same things, so read the "what you get" column too.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Where they're stronger, where we're different

Where others are stronger

  • The front desk. ShiftOS, VenueChief, GTLane, Sim-Department, SimPull and Omnisim take customer payments, ShiftOS and VenueChief add memberships, digital waivers and self-service kiosks, and SimPull puts booking, payment and the waiver on the guest's phone. Multitap doesn't take payments; it works alongside what you already use.
  • Booking today. ShiftOS, VenueChief, LoungeControl, Sim-Department, GTLane, SimPull and Omnisim have online booking now. Ours is on the roadmap for the end of October.
  • More sim titles. VMS fully automates Assetto Corsa, Le Mans Ultimate and rFactor 2, and VenueChief fully runs rFactor 2 and Le Mans Ultimate. Multitap's fullest integration is Assetto Corsa, with leaderboards for ACC and iRacing.
  • Telemetry. VenueChief, VMS and Sim-Department list telemetry analysis, and LoungeControl connects to RACEDATA.ai. We record lap times but don't offer telemetry analysis yet.
  • Lower entry prices. VMS starts from £10 a pod and Simcenter Control from 10€ a simulator, and GTLane bills nothing in a month with no bookings.
  • Offline today. VMS, LoungeControl and Sim-Department run without the internet, and VenueChief offers an on-premise install. Our offline edition, Multitap Event, is coming soon.

Where Multitap is different

  • Driver emails are included. Beaten times, milestones, birthdays and weekly digests go out on their own with Multitap Cloud at no extra cost. At ShiftOS the automations are a $100 a month add-on, and at VenueChief campaigns are $125 a month.
  • A flat price at 10 sims and up. $325 a month covers your whole venue, whether that's 10 sims or 30. On their published pricing, 20 sims is $700 at ShiftOS and $1,299 at VenueChief, though both of those include booking and payments.
  • A Discord bot. The Multitap Leaderboard Bot posts PBs, traffic high scores and records to your server, and drivers can ask it for the leaderboard. None of the other nine list a Discord bot on the pages we checked.
  • Global leaderboards from $25. Every venue, even on Cloud Lite at $25 a month, ranks drivers against other venues on VenueLaps.
  • Drivers can race in from home. Make a group race public and drivers outside the venue join it from Content Manager, next to the rigs in your room.
  • Try it before you talk to anyone. Run the live demo with no signup, then start a 7-day trial on up to two rigs with no card. Simcenter Control, GTLane and SimPull also have live demos.
